3D model of the city of Brno

The web application displays a 3D model of the city of Brno at the LOD2 level. The application presents a detailed model of the city of Brno.

The application contains a detailed 3D model covering the entire city of Brno (over 107,000 objects), created stereophotogrammetrically from aerial survey images. It was produced by TopGis s. r. o.

The scene is enhanced with a 3D model of vegetation based on data from the urban greenery registry. The vegetation is categorized by type (deciduous tree, coniferous tree, deciduous shrub, coniferous shrub) and by height (register data or 15 m for trees and 5 m for shrubs). The elevation base of the web scene is a digital terrain model processed by TopGis s. r. o. in 2019.

For proper operation of the application, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox with WebGL support, a graphics card with at least 2 GB of memory, and a stable internet connection.

The rendering speed of the web scene depends on device performance and connection quality. If the building model does not display in the scene, try opening the application in a different web browser.

The dataset with the 3D model can be found here, where it is freely available for download in various formats. To download only specific locations in the .dwg format, you can use the download application available here.
